24JUN(FRI) / US Departure Day from LAX Airport

 

25JUN(SAT) / EU ArrivalDay, Prague 

Arrival at Prague Ruzyne International Airport. Meeting with the Conceptio staff and designated tour directors. Initial orientation drive ending at the local hotel where our informal meeting, welcome and first dinner are to take place.
Overnight at Hotel Duo Prague - or similar.

 

26 JUN (SUN) / Sightseeing Day, Prague 

After breakfast we leave for a half-day sightseeing tour focusing on the Old Town and Jewish Quarter. Visits to the Old City Hall and the Jewish Cemetary will be included. Free time for lunch (on own) and to individually explore the medieval corners and Art Nouveau quarters. Dinner will be served at a Knight ́s theme restaurant in the Kampa quarter.

Overnight at Hotel Duo Prague - or similar.

 

27JUN(MON) / ConcertDay, Prague 

After breakfast our second part of the guided city tour takes us up to the Prague Castle area and the Mala Strana lanes. and for the concert crews to arrange all necessities at the concert site. After lunch (on own) the orchestra is scheduled for rehearsals at the Rudolfinum. Evening Concert Performance at the Rudolfinum followed by a first "launch party"/dinner in a local restaurant nearby.

28 JUN (TUE) / Travel Day to Vienna 

Morning departure by motorcoaches to Vienna. En route we will stop at the Moravian capital of Brno for a lunch break (on own) in the historic center. Later afternoon arrival in Vienna, check in and dinner at the local hotel.
Evening check in and overnight at Hotel Ananas Vienna - or similar.

 

29JUN(WED) / ConcertDay,Vienna 

Our first day in Vienna starts with an orientation drive along the Ringstrasse and into the first district where we meet our local guides for our tour of the Imperial city center including a visit of the Hofburg. After lunch (on own) the activities will be scheduled around rehearsal and preparations for tonight’s concert. Concert at St.Othmar in the third district followed by an after-concert-dinner.

30 JUN (THU) / Sightseeing Day, Vienna 

Breakfast at hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of Schönbrunn Palace and a free afternoon to explore the Capital of Music. In the late afternoon we depart for the Viennese Woods and enjoy dinner at a typical Heurigen restaurant.
Overnight at Hotel Ananas Vienna - or similar.

 

01JUL(FRI) / Via Salzburg to Ossiach 

Early morning departure to Salzburg where local guides will give us an insight into the Mozart related sights prior to some free time for lunch (on own) in the historic center. The travel continues along the A10 highway into the Alps and the picturesque province of Carinthia. Dinner and late check in at Ossiach.

Accommodation at the Ossiach Convent.

 

02JUL(SAT) / Ossiach 

After breakfast our excursion to nearby Landskron Castle will enable us to attend a breathtaking and educational Birds of Prey Show. Enjoy the great panoramic view of the Carnic and Julian Alps. In the afternoon we get ready for a casual performance at the concert hall of the Ossiach Music Academy. Dinner at a local restaurant. Accommodation at the Ossiach Convent.

 

03JUL(SUN) / Via Lusari to Padova 

After breakfast we shall leave for the tri-border region of Tarvisio where Austria, Italy and Slovenia share one border and centuries of history. A cable car will take us to the top of Mount Lussari (4.300 feet) for a Service Participation with a short performance to follow at the Latin, Slavic and German pilgrimage church. Lunch is available at the Locanda Il Convento. In the afternoon we proceed to the city of Padova where we will enjoy our first Italian Pizza.

04 JUL (MON) / Festival Day, Padova 

Breakfast at hotel followed by a half day sightseeing tour of the elegant city of Padova to see the Basilica di San Antonio, which still belongs to the Papal State and the one of Italy’s oldest universities dating back to 1222. Free time for lunch (on own) before getting ready for tonight ́s concert. Our final musical mission is the concert at the hall of the International Music Festival in Padova with a special "pasta reception" to follow. Accommodation at the Sheraton Hotel Padova - or similar.

 

05JUL(TUE) / Venice [B/-/D]

The entire day is reserved for our excursion to the bridges and canals of Venice. Boats await us for our entry into the Doge ́s City and our local guides will take us to the most exciting sights. One of Venice ́s tavern will accommodate us for the official fare- well party. Nightly transfer back to Padova.

06JUL(WED) / DepartureDay

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Venice Airport Mestre and departure to the US.
